We had "mommy and me" portraits made for Mother's Day by the talented Bellforwer Photography. 

The girls were super cute, but we could not successfully get them to smile!

We are O-N-E!!

What a fabulous birthday!! We celebrated in style surrounded by family and friends.

The weird sleeping positions of Alyssa

Last night I went to "go look at my babies" part of my night time routine. 

This is how I find Alyssa.

I walk in to my bedroom grab my phone and turn on the flash telling Allen it's worth the risk to get this picture. So funny!

Audrey does this while we're playing sometimes. So cute. 

Alyssa has taken to carrying this bird around. She has more upper teeth coming in. Totaling 6 teeth now!!

Audrey can hate me later....this was too perfect. 

Alyssa just knows she's so cute!!! We can't wait for pony tails and bows!

First time I put sunglasses on her she just gave the biggest smile. Now she's super excited to pose for the camera any time. 😎

Spring and a few adventures

Today was a busy day. The girls and I spent the morning shopping. 

I found some baby sunglasses that I thought were cute, just bought one pair to see how the girls would handle them. Alyssa just knew she was cool. I missed the big smile, but you can see that cute smile saying "what up?"

Meanwhile, Audrey was exploring under the table. She knows no fear. This child has tried to climb into or onto everything. She just goes for it. 

We are very close to walking. It's a toss up who will be first.

Audrey isn't so excited about pictures these days....but Alyssa is all laughs and smiles. Quite a difference from a few months ago!!

We also had Corned Beef and Cabbage for dinner and Alyssa enjoyed every bite!

Outside stroll

We are so lucky to have lots of family and friends who love and think about us. 

Our friends the Buckinghams gave us this awesome wagon that we can take walks around the neighborhood in. The girls LOVE it! Here are a few pictures from a Saturday stroll in March 2015.

It was a little sunny, so we tried out some cute hats as well. 

Audrey usually wears them ok....but decided to pull on hers towards the end of our walk. Alyssa didn't know what all the fuss was about.

Daddy snapped this picture of the girls during bath tonight. They certainly love bath time!!!!

Little climber

After our afternoon bottle today, Audrey decided to explore and into her chair. 

She enjoyed herself, and surprisingly kept her balance rather well....

I think she may have shocked herself!

I don't know what's so fascinating about the chair....but they love it! It's so interesting and fun to see what interests them, and see their minds working and learning.

We love baths, walks with Mama, exploring the house, watching the dogs play outside, most fruits and veggies, finger foods, climbing in our chair, and pulling up and playing at our tables.

Here is Audrey in her crib. She was trying to pull up, but lost her balance. Of COURSE Mama had to get a picture of this instead of helping! ((Note from Mama: I really am better at coordinating colors, I just needed to put pants on Audrey for nap time, and grabbed the first pair that fit.))

Audrey again, she loves to carry her toys around like this. She only doers this with her bird and snowman.

So misplaced my phone for the better half of the day....

I love the "find my iPhone feature" I can locate my phone using my computer. Pretty handy today...mommy brain I guess.

Before the girls were born I made it clear I would not be dressing the girls identically....coordinating yes...not identical....but this Mama couldn't resist at least once...

HAPPY HUMP DAY!!

Just look past the clashing colors. I needed to put pants on Audrey during nap time and this was the first pair I grabbed. She's learning to pull up, she lost her balance and fell over....the aparantely decided not to move...she's so funny!!

Alyssa has also learned to pull up and found a nice chew toy....Nana and I are going to have to make those crib rail teething guards soon!!

My Mama's Old Sewing Machine

A year ago, I asked Mama if she would mind me borrowing her old sewing machine in order to hem and fix some curtains in my house....it became my machine and sat in a closet...un-used for a year. (Didn't even do the curtains like I had wanted.)

Recently, I have decided to try those pins on Pinterest that I looked at and thought..."oh, I can totally do that!!!" 

I have caught "the bug" and I'm super proud to say I've sewn a baby sling, a pacifier clip, and 2 hooded towels!!! I even tried fancy stitching on the towels!

Here is Alyssa modeling one of the towels. After this picture was taken, I decided to embellish it a little...you know...make it super cute to match my girls' super cuteness.

Audrey Reading Her Book

Audrey decided to read her book to the room yesterday. 

8.5 months old and here we go!!

After nap time we practice crawling in the hallway, but always seem to get distracted by the air return vent. 

Alyssa can pull up, but Audrey is more interested in what's closer to the floor. 

This is pretty standard, Alyssa is standing and Audrey....tempting fate. Alyssa is mostly stable on her feet, she falls only a few times, and only once in Audrey. 

We spent some time in the yard! Mommy was surprised at how long we were able to be outside. 74 degrees out on January 21, 2015. Unbelievable. We had giggles at the dogs and overall contentment with the breeze and outdoors. 

Once the dogs settled down a bit, Apollo was happy to lay by his babies and keep a close eye on them while they played with their toys. 

Someone's rattle got the dogs stirred up again...and Ava wasn't too sure what to think of it all. 

January 22nd, Mommy tried a new trick for shopping at Target. We both fit in the shopping cart for now...we enjoyed our trip (but that's nothing new-we always love shopping). We had fun smiling at everyone and trying to grab Mama's frappachino. 

We're still here!!!

It has been a while since Iast posted. Holidays man...they are busy!!

Here is a little series of pictures from earlier today. We are very busy little girls. 

They were giggling like you wouldn't believe. 

Alyssa is crawling now and Audrey isn't too far behind. 

Alyssa is also figuring out how to pull up. She looked out the window for a while on her knees.
